About tallyward
tallyward helps drivers deal with one specific, stressful problem: an animal has chewed your car's wiring, and you're not sure what it will cost, whether your insurance covers it, or whether filing a claim is even worth it. We built a free tool and a set of plain-language guides to answer those questions honestly -- plus an optional Evidence Pack to help you document the claim you file yourself.
What we do
We give you a free decision tool that does the math -- your repair cost versus your deductible -- so you can see whether filing a claim is likely worth it. We publish plain-language guides on repair costs, comprehensive coverage, and what to do when you find damage. And for people who want help organizing their claim, we offer an optional do-with-you Evidence Pack: a guided photo and documentation checklist, cost benchmarks, and fill-in templates you submit yourself.
What we don't do
We are not a public adjuster, not a law firm, and we don't provide legal advice. We don't speak to your insurer, file claims on your behalf, or take a percentage of any payout -- you always file your own claim, in your own words, and decide what to accept. We don't diagnose mechanical problems or write repair estimates either; a qualified shop does that. And no service can promise a claim outcome, so we won't pretend to.
Why we built it
This started from a simple observation: when an animal damages your wiring, the hard part isn't only the repair -- it's the fog around it. The cost is a moving target, coverage is confusing, and it's easy to either overpay out of pocket or file a claim that wasn't worth it. We couldn't find a clear, honest, no-hype resource that just walked through the decision, so we built one. Everything here is written to be genuinely useful first -- no exaggerated claims, no pressure.
